‘What ana honour it is to be trusted by so many wonderfull families’
“I was incredibly anxious about labor, but the prenatal classes completely changed my perspective. Hillery provided evidence-based information that made me feel empowered and ready for my birth journey.”
“The ‘Nest to Nurture’ program was a lifesaver during those first 12 weeks. Having expert support for newborn care and my own recovery allowed me to actually enjoy the ‘fourth trimester’ instead of just surviving it.”
“The private postnatal visits were worth every penny. Having a professional come to our home to help with feeding and baby weighing gave us the peace of mind we desperately needed as first-time parents.”
“I love that everything taught here is grounded in clinical evidence. It’s so refreshing to get straight, scientific answers to parenting questions rather than just opinions.”
“Hillery has a way of making everything feel manageable. After our sessions, I always felt more calm and capable. I highly recommend these services to anyone expecting a baby.”

Lydia gave us thoughtful and considered advice to assist with our toddlers sleep, while being respectful of what we were comfortable with and working with that. She was incredibly supportive in regularly following up and being a sounding board, working through any new challenges or scenarios that arose. We achieved a smooth transition out of our bed and into his own cot and room that we were skeptical was possible! Thank you for your help and support Lydia!Posted on Google Jon DobieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot recommend Lydia highly enough! Lydia created a sleep plan for our 11 month old daughter who had become reliant on breastfeeding to sleep so was waking regularly throughout the night. Lydia’s professional, non-judgemental approach meant we could really delve into the issues we were having and establish the settling techniques most suited to our baby. She gave us a tailored plan and gave us confidence and reassurance to reach the ultimate goal of our baby learning to fall asleep independently and sleep through the night! Lydia is compassionate, patient and relatable. We are so grateful for her guidance!Posted on Google Kelly MassonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We worked with Lydia to help improve our two-year-old’s sleep, and I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough. I was incredibly nervous about working with a sleep consultant because I was worried we’d be expected to follow a strict approach that didn’t align with our parenting style. From our very first conversation, Lydia completely put my mind at ease. She took the time to really listen to us, understand how we parent, and create a plan that felt realistic, gentle, and tailored specifically to our family. The sleep plan she provided was beautifully written, easy to follow, and incredibly thoughtful. It wasn’t a generic guide, it was clearly personalised to our situation. It became such a valuable resource that I could keep referring back to, and it was also really helpful to share with my partner so we could stay consistent throughout the process. The support Lydia provided was exceptional. She checked in regularly, celebrated the wins with us, answered every question, and suggested small tweaks whenever needed. Her advice was practical, reassuring, and tailored specifically to our family, not just the kind of information you could find with a quick Google search. The results exceeded our expectations. Within just three days, we noticed a significant improvement in our son’s sleep, and now, just over a week later, the difference has been life-changing. He’s sleeping so much better, and we’re all getting more restful sleep. If you’re feeling apprehensive about working with a sleep consultant like I was, I’d encourage you to take the leap. Lydia is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the families she works with. We felt supported every step of the way, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again in the future. Thank you, Lydia. You’ve made such a positive difference to our family, and we’re so grateful.Posted on Google Eleanor BuryTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently worked with Lydia for sleep support for our five-month-old, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. My main goals were to help our baby learn to self-settle, reduce the amount of time spent rocking him to sleep, and address frequent false starts. While a full night's sleep would have been a wonderful bonus, I understood that wasn't necessarily an expectation at his age. Thanks to Lydia's guidance, we achieved all of these goals! Lydia was professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all of my questions, provided reassurance when needed, and tailored her advice to suit both our baby and our family's needs. Her support gave us the confidence to implement changes consistently, and the results have been a total game changer for us. I definitely recommend Lydia to any parents looking for gentle, practical, and effective sleep support!Posted on Google Holly LonerganTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was lucky enough to receive a massage from Lydia a few months postpartum. The massage was incredible and Lydia was so beautiful. It was my second postpartum and having Lydia give me the time for an hour or so made me feel so held and nurtured. Cannot recommend her enough!Posted on Google Rachel Jade BartleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lydia was so welcoming and knowledgeable from the get go. My newborn was struggling with gas and she recommended a probiotic that helped us extremely. She came into our home and assisted me in understanding my babies sleep cycles and rhythms, ways to support him in developing consistent sleep routines. She has a passion for her work and I would strongly recommend her to anyone who needs guidance through their post-partum period. Thankyou Lydia 😊Posted on Google LaurenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I honestly don’t know how I would have made it through those early days without Lydia. After I gave birth to my little girl Rose she was nothing short of amazing from the very beginning. Lydia was warm, supportive and completely non-judgmental which is exactly what I needed. She helped me through everything: sleep deprivation, overwhelming self-doubt, and especially breastfeeding, which I was really struggling with. There were so many moments I thought I would have to give up, but Lydia was always there. Through visits, phone calls and Facetime, she gently encouraged me and reminded me that I could do it. Because of her support, I ended up breastfeeding for over two years, something I never thought was possible. More than anything, Lydia helped me believe in myself. She gave me the tools and confidence I needed to feel like a capable and strong mum. I am honestly so proud of the mum I have become, and that is because of Lydia. She did not just support me physically, she truly saved my mental health and helped me find joy in those early and chaotic days. If you are looking for someone to walk beside you with warmth, kindness, unwavering support and as a friend, Lydia is the one. I will be forever grateful for her.Posted on Google Emily JacksonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lydia is amazing, very knowledgable, personable and gave me the confidence to try something new with bubs sleeping to get it back on track. One of those ladies where you feel like you are talking to a good friend. She has some great knowledge and brilliant tips, i had tried other places but found advice was very generic lydia listens to what is happening in your situation and gives tips and tricks! Have booked her a second time and also want to book the massage at some point too! Thanks for your help :) very much appreciated!Posted on Google BecTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lydia has supported me through two difficult pregnancies and postpartum with both my girls. Her non judgmental, compassionate nature is second to none. She provides gentle advice in a way that works for your family. She is a wealth of knowledge and always knows the right thing to say. Frequently asked questions
Who are your services for?
Nest and Nurture has been designed to offer support to families navigating the fourth trimester and beyond. Whether you’re in the midst of preparing to welcome your baby, adjusting to life with a newborn and all that comes with that, in the depths of sleep deprivation or simply looking for some extra guidance, I’m here to help.
Additionally, if you’re looking for some well-deserved TLC and like the sound of a healing
postpartum massage, you’re in the right place!
I am an experienced midwife and a qualified infant sleep consultant with a genuine deep-rooted passion to support your family.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes! Fourth trimester planning and support is all intended to be offered through home visits. I come to your safe space so you have no need to feel any pressure to get somewhere by a certain time. (Please don’t feel the need to tidy up for my arrival either!)
Sleep support 6 weeks onwards is typically email and phone based, however, I’m very happy to accommodate in-home support if you feel that would be best suited to you and your family.
Can you help with postpartum planning?
Absolutely! We often put a lot of energy into planning for our labour and birth experience, and whilst I whole-heartedly agree that this is important, I encourage you to put the same thought into planning for postpartum too. It can make all the difference!
I love sitting with parents to be, learning who you are, what your support network looks like and working with you to develop a plan that will help you feel held during those early weeks.
At what age can you help with sleep?
From birth up to four years of age.
Between 0-6 weeks, the focus is more so on normal newborn behaviour; feeding, settling, common problems and the practicalities of adjusting in those first few weeks. Beyond this, we can start working on predictability and introducing routines and support to optimise yours and your baby’s sleep.
What is your approach to sleep training?
My approach is simple – whatever works for your family!
My guidance encourages a responsive approach and with absolutely zero talk of ‘cry it out’. This is a common misconception in the world of sleep support – sleep training does not mean leaving your baby to cry! I have many gentle options in my tool box; your sleep plan will be personalised, based on your parenting style, your baby’s temperament and your family set up.
Can you help if I’m breastfeeding?
Yes, and I love to! Whilst I’m not an IBCLC, I have nearly 14 years of experience as a midwife and have supported countless families with infant feeding. I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside many amazing lactation consultants (some of the best if you ask me!) and have a lot of experience in offering evidence-based, holistic support and education. Of course, if your feeding journey requires more specialised care, I’ll always encourage this and refer you on to make sure you’re receiving the most appropriate support.
Do I need to be struggling to book support?
Not at all. Booking in for support before you feel overwhelmed or face challenges is something I would always encourage. Being fully informed and prepared may be exactly what you need to feel confident and calm as you step into your postpartum journey.
